Using separate utensils for RTE foods and non-RTE foods is the most effective way to prevent cross contamination of food. Two sets of knives and cutting boards should be kept in the kitchen.

If only one set of cutting board and knife is available, you should handle the cooked chicken first and thoroughly clean the cutting board and knife with liquid detergents before handling raw meat. This can prevent cross contamination of cooked foods.
