Food Product | All pork and bacon products produced in Ireland from 1 September 2008. |
Reason for Recall | Laboratory results of animal feed and pork fat samples obtained by the FSAI confirmed the presence of dioxin. |
Action Taken by the Centre for Food Safety | We have informed the trade and asked them to stop selling these products. We will contact the Irish authorities for further information and is closely monitoring the situation. |
Advice to the Trade | Stop selling these products. |
Advice to Consumers | Stop consuming the affected products. |
