In view of Japan's announcement on proposed discharge of treated waste water in 2023, to enhance transparency, CFS reports the food surveillance results of imported Japanese food on CFS's website on a monthly basis from December 2022 onwards.
Radiation testing on Japanese food has been subsumed under the routine annual food surveillance programme starting from 1 January 2021. The CFS releases the results in the monthly "Food Safety Report".
