Latest melamine test results
The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) today (February 17) released the latest batch of results of melamine tests. All 43 samples tested were satisfactory.
From mid-September 2008 to now, more than 5,500 food samples have been tested. There were 40 unsatisfactory samples, and the overall satisfactory rate is 99.3%. Since December 3, results of all products tested were satisfactory.
The CFS has now completed the Third Phase of its testing programmme for melamine. From February 18, the centre will absorb the testing of melamine in food into routine food surveillance programme and announce the test results every two weeks. The next round of test results will be announced on March 5.
