International Advisory Panel (IAP) on
Reduction of Dietary Sodium and Sugar in Hong Kong
Public Lecture
Excessive sodium and sugar intakes are closely related to hypertension and obesity, which are regarded as risk factors of many non-communicable diseases (NCDs). The World Health Organization has been advocating limiting the intake of sodium and free sugars so as to reduce the global NCD morbidity and mortality.
To provide a platform for exchange of knowledge and expertise on salt and sugar reduction, a public lecture was conducted in the afternoon of 11 November.
