Not to consume six kinds of Taiwanese food suspected to be plasticiser-tainted

The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) received notification from the Taiwanese authority that the concerned products had been distributed to Hong Kong.

Importer: "Natural Beauty Bio-technology (Hong Kong) Co, Ltd" (The importer sold the products at its outlet in Central, "Natural Beauty Mix")

(1) 87G043 Lactoferrin Peptide Complex (Net wt 0.9 kg)

(2) 87G038 Natural HVP Cacium Peptide Complex (Net wt 4.6 kg)

(3) 87G038A Natural HVP Cacium Peptide Complex (Net wt 0.4 kg)

(4) 87G043 Lactoferrin Peptide Complex (Net wt 0.6 kg)

(5) 87G043 Lactoferrin Peptide Complex (Net wt 0.5 kg)

(6) 87G043A Lactoferrin Peptide Complex (Net wt 0.8 kg)
Reason For Issuing Alert

The concerned products are suspected to be contaminated with di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP).
Action Taken by the Centre for Food Safety

The CFS at once contacted and instructed the importer, “Natural Beauty Bio-technology (Hong Kong) Co, Ltd”, to stop sale of the affected products.

The CFS will continue to investigate the case and closely monitor the follow-up action taken by the importer.
