Source of Information | The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) received notification from the Taiwanese authority that the concerned product had been distributed to Hong Kong. |

Reason For Issuing Alert | The concerned products might have been contaminated with di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP). DEHP is a plasticiser and has been found to cause damages to liver, kidney, reproduction and development when given to animals in large doses. |
Action Taken by the Centre for Food Safety | The CFS has notified the trade and at once instructed the importer to stop sale of the affected products. |
