Reason For Issuing Alert | The concerned products was detected with di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP). DEHP is a plasticiser and has been found to cause damages to liver, kidney, reproduction and development when given to animals in large doses. |
Action Taken by the Centre for Food Safety | The CFS has alerted the trade and instructed the importer and retailers to recall the affected consignment of the product. |
