Reason For Issuing Alert |
- The Centre for Food Safety (CFS), through its Food Incident Surveillance System, noted a notice issued by the US authorities that the manufacturer of the product concerned is recalling two batches (Batch ID: 1001124486 and 1001124487) of the above-mentioned product as they may contain foreign matters.
- According to preliminary investigation, the above importer had imported 90 cartons of one of the affected batches (Batch ID: 1001124486) of product, which were all distributed for sale. The importer has already stopped sale and removed from shelves the affected batch of product, and initiated a recall.

Action Taken by the Centre for Food Safety |
- Upon learning of the incident, the CFS immediately contacted local major importers and retailers for follow-up.
- The CFS will alert the trade to the incident, continue to follow up and take appropriate action.
