Reason For Issuing Alert |
- The Centre for Food Safety (CFS), through its routine Food Incident Surveillance System, noted a notice of the Canadian authorities concerned that several batches of the product concerned are under recall as they may contain glass particles. The CFS immediately followed up with major local importers and retailers. The CFS also received a notification from the above sole importer of the product that it has imported the above-mentioned batches of the affected product and initiated a recall.
- According to the information provided by the importer concerned, it had imported a total of 2 160 cartons of the affected batches of the product and all of them had been distributed. The affected product has been taken off shelves and its sale has been stopped and a recall has been initiated.
