I would like to introduce to you the theme exhibitions held from Oct - Dec 2020 and food hygiene / food safety talks in the Communication Resource Unit, Centre for Food Safety, Food and Environmental Hygiene Department.

Brief Introduction

Staffed by experienced health inspectors, the Communication Resource Unit (CRU) operates under the Risk Communication Section, Centre for Food Safety (CFS) of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department. The CRU plays a distinct role in enhancing food safety by communicating messages through different channels. Recognising the paramount importance of tripartite collaboration between the Government, the trade and the public in enhancing food safety, CRU empowers the trade and the public by organising various food safety programmes.

The CRU maintains a rich collection of relevant resource materials for consumers to make better food choices and for the trade to supply safe food. The CRU, located in the city centre, has also set up an exhibition hall with public and trade corners, equipped with audiovisual facilities, for visitors to have the first-hand experience about food safety in Hong Kong.

Theme Exhibition in CRU (Oct - Dec 2020)

Exhibitions on the theme of "Have a Close Look at Nutrition Labelling" and "How to Process Food Plants with Natural Toxin" are staged at the CRU, enriching the public's knowledge on food safety.

Visit & Talk

Food Trade are welcome to make appointment to visit the CRU and attend food hygiene / food safety talks.
