Three kinds of prepackaged baby biscuits imported from UK may pose a choking hazard

Reason For Issuing Alert | The CFS, through its Food Incident Surveillance System, has noted a notice issued by the Food Standards Australia New Zealand about a recall of the above-mentioned products due to a potential choking hazard. |
Action Taken by the Centre for Food Safety | Upon learning of the incident, the CFS immediately followed up with the local importer concerned, Ceres Resources Limited. According to the information provided by the importer, 173 cases (five packs in a case) of the affected products were imported to Hong Kong and distributed to two retailers for sale. For the sake of prudence, the retailers have already stopped sale and removed from shelves the affected products. The importer has also voluntarily initiated a recall. |
Advice to the Trade | Stop using or selling the affected products immediately should they still possess them. |
Advice to Consumers | Not to feed infants with the affected products. |
