H7 Rapid Test Launched in Man Kam To

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department launched the rapid H7 avian influenza test on 11 April for poultry imported from the Mainland at the Man Kam To Animal Inspection Station.

For every consignment, samples from 30 birds would be collected for rapid testing. Results are available in about four to five hours.

The birds will then be transported to the Cheung Sha Wan Temporary Wholesale Poultry Market, pending for the laboratory result. Only the consignment that passes the rapid test would be released for sale.
