Centre for Food Safety (CFS), as one of the World Health Organization Collaborating Centres of Chemical Risk Analysis in Food, is destined to contribute to the public health especially in food safety at the regional level. A regional event can promote good practices, technical transfer, consensus building, and networking among regional partners. Last year, CFS organized a well-received Regional Symposium titled "From Food Incidents to Crisis Management". This year, the CFS is hosting a Regional Symposium on "Food Claims: Truth and Myth" in October 2012.
